Our Story
In 1995 Con Apoifis started International Plasterboards Pty Ltd, a new building products company located in Sydney’s south. His founding vision was to provide tradespeople in the Sutherland Shire of New South Wales with a building products specialty store that boasted Sydney’s largest range of materials, compounds, equipment and tools from the most trusted brands in the industry.
Following that vision, in 1999 International Plasterboards Pty Ltd became a distributor of globally renown Lafarge products and officially became a family-owned franchised PlastaMasta store trading under the name PlastaMasta Taren Point.
PlastaMasta Taren point became an almost household name amongst tradespeople in the Sutherland Shire during the years that followed, adding more iconic brands to their already comprehensive offering including insulation products from Fletchers as well as tools and accessories from Wallboard Tools.
In 2011, following the buy-out of Lafarge in Australia by the Knauf Group, PlastaMasta Taren Point became a stockist and proud distributor of the Knauf plasterboard and compound range – including the industry favourite “Red Lid”, MastaLine.
Recent times has seen PlastaMasta Taren Points influence spread from outside the Sutherland Shire, encompassing more of Sydney’s South, prompting a name change in line with the exciting transition from Knauf to Siniat Australia.
Today, PlastaMasta Southern Sydney is a proud Siniat Australia distributor, focused on delivering the best quality plastering products, superior customer service and expert advice to the builders, plasterers and specifiers operating in Sydney’s CBD, the Sutherland Shire and the Eastern Suburbs. Long term, mutually beneficial partnerships with supply chain partners has resulted in preferential supply, onsite technical support and priority deliveries direct to site, offering our customers an advantage in a highly competitive market.
